The Jolly Tars:

 

  • Are Ken Purcell and Jake Laubach.

  • Formed in 2012.

  • Perform from southern New England to tidewater Virginia.

  • Have performed at over 60 venues and events.

  • Have appeared at Tall Ship and Maritime Festivals in Philadelphia, Camden, NJ and Buffalo, NY.

  • Performed on board the battleship, USS New Jersey in Camden, NJ and Sloop of War, USS Constellation in Baltimore, MD.

  • Performed at the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts.

  • Took part in the 50th Anniversary commemoration of the filming of the “Molly Mcguires” at the Eckley Miners Village Museum.

  • Have appeared on WVIA FM public radio's Homegrown Music program.

  • Have been featured on WFMZ TV69's Music Monday broadcast.

  • Recorded a CD entitled “At Sea and Ashore” now streaming on Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube and other affiliates of CD Baby.
